Bahar Kural is an award winning photographer and media artist specializing in abstract, architecture, fine art and street photography. Since 2020, her photographs have garnered significant attention, with 181 awards from International Photography Awards, Julia Margaret Cameron Award, Luxembourg Art Prize, the Pollux Awards, Paris Street Photography Awards, Prix de la Photographie Paris, Neutral Density Awards, Masterprize in Architecture, Moscow International, Tokyo International and Budapest International Foto Awards. In addition to her photographic and media art practice, she is a successful real estate developer—with her passion for architecture evident in her artwork. A recurring motif, is the utilization of the built environment, combined with robust colors, to explore ideas around self-identity, and the human condition more generally. Bahar is a native of Istanbul, and lives and works in New York with her two children. Bahar Kural is a graduate of Swarthmore College and Columbia Business School.
